Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans

The attached chart includes information regarding current availability within particular Region I (Maine/New Hampshire) Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans (PDP's) of selected drugs often used in psychiatric practice. It is made available here as public a service by the Maine Association of Psychiatric Physicians.

Although some of the Region I PDP's have the same name as PDP's offered outside of Region I, it is important to note that at least some of these identically-named PDP's can have completely different medication policies in different Regions; this chart is NOT anticipated to be useful in helping to meet the needs of Medicare Part D beneficiaries outside of Region I (Maine and New Hampshire).

The particular plans listed are a subset of PDP's offered within Region I that have been selected by Maine's Department of Human Services as eligible for state-funded support for patient co-pays and for payment for some specific Part D-excluded medications.

The data in this chart have been obtained from public sources including information provided by the PDP's themselves. Although every effort has been made to provide correct information, available data sources are not complete and reliable and no guarantee can be made that the information presented here is completely accurate or current. Physicians and other care-givers educating patients regarding Part D PDP's and Medicare Part D beneficiaries informing themselves regarding their Part D PDP choices should make use of additional resources to ensure an accurate understanding of PDP policies regarding medications listed here, as well as individual PDP polices involving other medications beneficiaries may need.

Listing of particular Medicare Part D PDP's in this chart in no way indicates any endorsement of any PDP on the part of the Maine Association of Psychiatric Physicians. Listing of medications in this document in no way indicates an endorsement by the Maine Association of Psychiatric Physicians of any individual medication or for the use of any individual medication for any particular illness or indication.
