Physicians Day at the Legislature

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The 129^th Maine Legislature is in full gear considering issues of importance to all Mainers – please join our two physician organizations for some or all of this day at the Maine State House!  Physicians’ Day at the Legislature is an opportunity for osteopathic and allopathic physicians, physician assistants, medical students, and legislators to come together at the State House for discussions on important health policy issues including, access to affordable, quality health care for all, health care reform, Medicaid funding, scope of practice issues, state budget priorities, mental health policy, and public health and prevention efforts.

Decisions made at the State House and in the U.S. Congress have a major impact on medicine, making it particularly important for health professionals to be engaged in the political process.  We hope you will join your colleagues on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  to represent your profession and your patients in the public policy arena and outside of the clinical setting.
