Event Details
The North Carolina Psychiatric Association is offering APA members a courtesy discount to attend NCPA’s 2021 Annual Meeting, October 1-3. We are planning for it to be a “virtually amazing” conference, with national headliners like Glen Gabbard, MD, Patrice Harris, MD, Charles Scott, MD and John Torous, MD, among others.
The conference runs Friday through midday Sunday, and includes up to 13.5 CME hours of clinical content relevant to these days, such as: Physician Burnout; Leadership on Issues of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Acute Psychiatric Complications of COVID; Measurement Based Care; Veteran Mental Health; COVID’s Impact on Opioid Use Disorders, Smartphone Apps for Psychiatry:; Targeting Brain Circuitry in Mood Disorders to Reduce Symptoms an
d Suicide. There is a Saturday morning Child/Adolescent concurrent track plus a Saturday evening live, interactive tour of the Smithsonian’s African American Museum, and every day will feature wellness breaks throughout the day.
Physicians and other practitioners must sign in for each lecture to earn CME, but one of the benefits our attendees appreciated last year is the ability to rewatch all of the sessions after the fact, even the lectures they were unable to attend.
