Ask your Governor to reach out to federal lawmakers in support of CHIP
8.9 million children currently rely on the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to access health coverage. This includes approximately 850,000 CHIP beneficiaries who experience serious behavioral or emotional disorders. Funding for this vital, bipartisan program expired at the end of September. Federal lawmakers need to hear from officials within their states about the local impact this will have. Ask your governor to contact Congress about continued support for CHIP.
