Cortex Behavioral Health is a group medical practice located in Portland, ME. We specialize in comprehensive co-occurring assessment and management, complex management of treatment-resistant depression and other conditions, assessment of behavioral risk management issues in the workplace, and consultation services.

Role Description
This is a part-time to full-time (16–40 hours) on-site role for a psychiatrist. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Psychiatrist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental health and emotional disorders. You will work with patients across various age groups and provide them with comprehensive care that addresses both their mental and physical health. You will be expected to conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medication, and monitor the progress of your patients. You will also be required to collaborate with a broader team of healthcare professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mental health disorders and the medical treatments necessary to aid recovery, while being compassionate, patient, and have excellent communication skills.

Qualifications
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Board certification in Psychiatry.
• Valid and active Maine medical license.
• Active and unencumbered DEA registration.
• Strong understanding of the principles of psychiatric diagnosis and treatment.
• Excellent decision-making skills and communication.
• Ability to maintain accurate patient records.
• Strong professional standards and a dedication to ethical practices.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) software.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
